Doctoral researcher (m/f) for a project on studying mitochondrial dysfunction in a fly model for Parkinson’s disease

We are seeking competent support for our group at the Institute of Neurogenetics, University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein/ University of Lübeck. You will work on a project that studies the relation between defective lipids metabolism and mitochondrial dysfunction in the context of Parkinson’s disease. The project is funded by the Else Kröner Fresenius Stiftung.

Your role:
– Plan and organize your experiments
– Lead your research project
– Participate in weekly group meetings

Your profile:
– You have a master’s degree in science (biology, molecular life science,…)
– You speak English fluently
– You should have well-developed social skills, a hands-on attitude and be able to work in a team
– You are ambitious, self-motivated and are willing to develop new skills and explore novel ideas.
– Experience with Drosophila is a plus, but not required

What we offer:
